Nicholas ‘Nick’ Woodorth
Nick didn’t just choose the glazing trade; he was born into it. Following in the footsteps of two generations of master glaziers, Nick spent his youth on job sites learning that in this industry, there is no room for error.
After completing his Glass and Glazing qualifications in 2015, Nick continued to refine his craft, and 2026 marks his 15th year on the tools.
For Nick, transitioning from a lead glazier to founding Dural Glass was the natural next step—a way to bring three generations of Woodorth expertise directly to his hometown in the Hills District.
Nick is defined by a level of uncompromising precision; if a measurement is a millimetre off, it doesn’t leave the shop. He is a determined tradesman who balances a relentless work ethic with being a dedicated family man.

Owner and Director
Since joining our team in 2022, Scout has quickly established himself as an integral part of the Dural Glass team.
While Nick handles the precision glazing, Scout manages the site culture—specialising in stress relief and ensuring no loose ends (or frisbees) are left behind. He’s the first to greet visitors and the last to leave the site.
Every high-performance team needs a backbone, and for Dural Glass, that’s Scout.

Our history
The Dural Glass story began in the 1960s when Robyn and Roger Woodorth, Nana and Papa, founded R&R Glass Services Pty Ltd.
Operating out of their Smithfield factory, they established one of Sydney’s earliest specialist glazing companies, building a reputation for reliability and technical skill that would define the family trade for decades.
That legacy was passed down to their son, Grant, and grandson, Nick, who have spent their careers refining the craft and instilling the "old-school" values of integrity and hard work.
Nick has brought the family trade home to the Hills District. While the tools and technology have evolved since the Smithfield days, our commitment to the craft remains exactly the same: honest work, meticulous precision, and a name you can trust.
